I’m a Mental Health Counselor specializing in mood disorders, trauma, and ADHD, with a subspecialty in helping people recover from high-control societies such as cults and fundamentalist religions. From an early age, I’ve been drawn to helping people understand their thoughts and build meaningful connections—work that’s evolved over more than two decades in community building, education, and psychotherapy. Before becoming a therapist, I spent twelve years as a teacher and curriculum coordinator, specializing in supporting neurodivergent students, particularly those with ADHD, and designing individualized learning plans. These experiences cemented my belief that every person deserves an approach tailored to their unique needs—a belief that now shapes every therapy session I hold.
In my practice, I focus on helping clients develop practical tools to create more manageable and functional lives while uncovering and amplifying the strengths they already possess. I meet clients where they are, build strong rapport, and work collaboratively toward their goals, weaving together a range of evidence-based approaches to meet the needs of each individual.

At my core, I believe that people heal best when they feel seen, understood, and connected—to themselves, to others, and to the communities around them. My work in community building, including creating spaces for those who struggle to connect socially, has shown me the profound impact of belonging during life’s transitions. Outside of therapy, I’m deeply interested in how people adapt to change, find meaning in their stories, and reimagine their future paths. I bring curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to meeting people with compassion wherever they are on their journey.
-
I believe therapy is most effective when it’s both supportive and practical. My role is to help clients reframe the way they see themselves so they can recognize their own resilience and resources, even in the midst of challenges. I approach therapy as a partnership—we define clear objectives together, track progress, and celebrate achievements along the way. While my work often draws from psychodynamic exploration to understand patterns and motivations, I balance this with tangible tools from approaches such as CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology. My aim is to create a space where exploration and action go hand in hand.
